The leather jacket has long been an iconic wardrobe staple and I've been on the hunt for one for some time now. Over the past several months, I've tried on more than a few styles, but none of them seemed to be quite right. I was looking for something classic, but edgy. Something with a rockstar sensibility and a slightly rebellious undertone. I was looking for perfection and I found it in this black Nappa leather RICK OWENS biker.
This particular biker is from the 2014 SPRING / SUMMER collection entitled Vicious. It features a silver asymmetrical zipper, a funnel collar, and extra long sleeves with ribbed paneling under the arms. The lamb skin has an incredibly soft hand and as soon as I tried it on, I knew it was the one. It felt like something that was meant to be. I love this piece worn open or closed, but when it's zipped up, I feel like I'm ready to take on the world. Like a soldier of Fashion. When it comes to leather, it just doesn't get much better than OWENS.
Natural leather breathes and molds to the wearer's body. It literally feels like a second skin. This jacket feels like it's mine and mine alone. Now that I've worn it, it has become a part of me and my wardrobe. I can't imagine that it would fit anyone else the way it does me. RICK OWENS leather is truly meant to be lived in and I intend to do just that.
