Chloé 2015 Resort

On Monday night I attended a fashionable soirée at the Chloé boutique on Madison Avenue. ClareWaight Keller was in town to present the new 2015 Resort collection and to host the reopening of their flagship. The two story store has recently been remodeled to include a cement spiral staircase, gold hardware aplenty, and a full assortment of CHLOE products. Strategic spotlights hanging from tracks give the store an overall ethereal feeling. It sort of creates a romantic shopping experience.

Fashion matters. To the economy, to society and to each of us personally. Faster than anything else, what we wear tells the story of who we are - or who we want to be. Fashion is the most immediate and intimate form of self-expression.

I am always in the market for a Fashionable read, so you could imagine my delight when I came across a book titled WHY FASHION MATTERS by Frances Corner. At the expense of sounding like a cliche, I most certainly judged this book by its cover. It was red and black and I was wildly intrigued by the title. I knew I was going to purchase the book before I had even read the synopsis printed on the back. You see, I know why Fashion matters to me, but I wanted to know why Fashion mattered to Corner.

New In - Tom Ford Madison Cat Eye

I've been in the market for a new pair of sunglasses for awhile, but really wanted to take my time to find the perfect pair. The addition of an accessory that will feature so prominently on my face wasn't something I wanted to take too lightly. I'd narrowed down my search to two similar cat eye styles, both by Tom Ford. The cat eye was a style that was popular in the 1950's; an era of crinolines, circle skirts, and Dior's New Look.
