ADR for H&M

I know that collaborations with high street brands are very popular these days, but I have to tell you, I'm not a fan. In the fashion industry, quality and price are directly related. This means the quality of the merchandise you take home will be in correlation to the price on the tag. You will ALWAYS get what you pay for. These are the cold, hard facts and there's just no getting around them. So, when I heard that one of my fashion heroes was doing an accessories collection with H&M, I was a bit... indifferent. This blog is based around collecting quality over quantity and the facts are that these pieces are never found in high street shops. I have given it a go before when some of my favorite names in fashion have gone this route of lowered priced partnerships, and I have to say, it's never worked out for me.

Anna Dello Russo is my fashion hero because she truly loves it as art and respects the craft. She labels herself a "fashion victim" but she understands the importance of quality. This is evident in her well catalogued and documented designer archives. So, you'll forgive me if I wasn't super excited about this. Nevertheless, I will venture down to H&M to inspect the collection in person, out of respect for ADR. She has an impeccable eye for style and quality, so maybe this collaboration will prove me wrong. Let's hope so...
